**Our licensed acupuncturist** We use very thin needles at specific points on the body to regulate the function of the nerves, blood, and organs, in a targeted way, in order to address your health concerns. We may also make use of electroacupuncture – the addition of electrical stimulation to an acupuncture needle. Although it has become popular in the U.S. as an effective tool for musculoskeletal conditions, acupuncture – and Chinese medicine as a whole – may be employed for a vast variety of health concerns, including but not limited to fertility, digestive problems, skin issues, neurological conditions, etc.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbal medicine alters the function of your organs to address health concerns, using a time-tested system of plant medicine. Chinese herbs are very potent medicines that are highly effective in the hands of a skilled practitioner.

Gua Sha

The gua sha tool is a hard tool applied to the skin. It is a simple yet effective technique to release areas of stagnation, benefitting tight muscles and illness.

Acupressure, Bodywork, Massage

Chinese medicine has its own form of bodywork called ‘tuina’. Literally translated as ‘pushing and grasping’, tuina is the application of movements, pressure, and massage, to improve flexibility, improve circulation, stimulate nerves and organs and benefit the health of the body – not only the muscles but the internal organs as well.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient technique that utilizes glass cups, applied to the skin, in order to move areas of tightness and stagnation. You can think of cupping as a massage in reverse! Instead of pushing on the muscles, you feel a pulling from the suction created by the cupping technique. It is a great way to break up knots in muscles but has also been employed for treating colds and flu.
